After weeks of planning and preparation, numerous meetings with dozens of volunteers, the countdown to the FULL MOON MUSIC FESTIVAL to Benefit the Wounded Warrior Project has officially begun! Mark your calendars for Saturday, October 5th and plan to spend the day at the American Legion Post 250 located at 3939 County Road 218 in Middleburg, FL. 32068.
Starting off the day will be a DICE RUN, hosted by the American Legion Riders Post 250.
Kick Stands Up at 10AM with five stops and Last Bike In at 2PM with prizes for High and Low Roll. Riders are $15; passengers are $10 and this donation includes dinner. For more information or to sign up for the ride, contact Sam at 904-415-6094.
What’s a music festival without music? You will be proud to know there were more area bands offering to donate their time and talent to play at this event than time allows. So there will be continuous live music beginning at 11AM with local favorites including the Natural Instincts Band, Harms Way, Black Creek Ri’zin, The Monster Fool, Second Shot and Finders Keepers. Special guest stars are expected to stop by during the day, including Randall Hall, former member of the Lynyrd Skynyrd Band.
Be sure to come hungry because the Legion members will be grilling up hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings all day long, with special drink prices too. Bake sale items will surely satisfy that sweet tooth as well!
The main purpose of this event of course, is to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project which we all know aids wounded members of the military and their families during difficult and challenging times. So there will be raffle prizes, 50/50 tickets, event T-shirts and silent auction items. For only $20 a ticket you could even win the Harms Way band for a gig! When was the last time you had a chance to win a band? A live auction with larger items will begin at approximately 5:30PM. You won’t want to miss out on this auction – heard there are even personalized items from Tim McGraw and Faith Hill!
If you or your business have a product to sell, vendor spaces are available for $30.
Want to see your name or your business proudly displayed on the Sponsor Banner? Silver level sponsorship is $25 and Gold level is $50. Contact Dave Fleming at 904-214-3266 for details. And of course, if you or your business has an item or service to donate for the raffle and/or auction, or would like to make a monetary donation, please contact the festival coordinator Paul Deep at 904-282-3766.
So rain or shine, the place to be on Saturday, October 5th is the American Legion Post 250 in Middleburg, Florida 32068. It is going to be a full day of food, fun, activities and the best live music around with all proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project. You won’t want to miss a minute!
